OK this is going to sound super lame....how do I put a quote below the postings like I see? You know the place where people put a list of the helis they have or where they put great philisophical quotes?

just on the topic of wording. I don't want to sound like a dumb ass but why do a lot of people from the states say period after they have finished a sentence they are talking about. Is this to take the piss out of someone or what? It seems to be a hot word used over there at the moment as they are using it in tv programs from the states that we get here?
