Someone knows if there is a gasoline engine equivalent to a .30 size glow engine?

The smallest I've seen is a 90-size engine that will fit into the same mounts as the 90 glow. I've heard it's not as powerful as it's glow counterpart, but will power the 90 relatively well. I haven't heard of anything close to a 30.
Here's a link to a thread on RR that details the conversion on a Raptor 60. (http://www.runryder.com/helicopter/t271246p1/?highlight=BME+gasser)

I am getting tired of the oily mess!! Is there a gas engine that I could put into my Raptor Titan 50? I would prefer it to be a little under powered anyway.
I saw the electric conversion, but I am not ready for those big, expensive batteries
Thanks,
Harold.

Oily Mess? That's what it's all about man ;) It's the same thing as that new car smell.
Seriously though, a good exhaust deflector will reduce the mess significantly. Also make sure you use a gasket between the engine and the muffler.

I have one of those deflectors that has a plug so it can be closed up when not in use - still covers everything with oil. Maybe I should leave it closed - that would stop the mess ;) I will have to replace the muffler gasket next time I drop the engine.
New car smell, I wish. I keep spending the money on the helis instead. I think I just answered my question on my wife's squeal every time I start mine up though!!
Thanks,
Harold.
I would think even a gasoline powered engine would have oil in the gas, just like a typical two-stroke. Unless it's a four-stroke engine with oil in the crankcase. So while maybe not as messy as a nitro there would still be oil in the exhaust.

All you get with a gasser is a dribble of oil from the exhaust tip at the most. That's if you're running it richer than needed. The most cleanup you'll have is all the bugs from flying and that little dribble. :D
