Hey cuzz how was your weekend?
No cuzz never flown one, not likely to either!! But I can dream. :)
I've read a lot about that machine, the spec,s are pretty cool, how does she rate against your Cal- and the Rappy's you've flown? Have you had an opportunity to fly an Avant yet? :)
Cheers Ralph

Cheers Ralph
Mine was great. A lot of work was done around the house and my heli-hangar. Friday nite I picked up a fifty gallon fishtank{freshH2O} with six  looking fish all for free. Picked up a cord of firewood on saturday and stacked it neatly. I flew about a half of a gallon of fuel right from my backyard. Its definitely precision flying with the trees and houses close by.
The Lepton was my friends, the one that had the Trex600, he traded the 600 straight up for the Hirobo and I think he made out on the better side. It flies very stable and has plenty of thrust at only 80% throttle. I didn't wring it out yet, he only had it set up in normal flite mode. I guess they can be pricy to repair. I can't really rate it against the other machines I've flown until I really put it to the limits of my abilities. I am impressed with the design of the Lepton from nose to tail.
As for the Avant, that may be my next 90 sized heli, and I've never flown one.... Yet!!!
How was your weekend blax?
BTW, here is my spanky cat playing with the new fish. My wife photoshopped my little black button cat on the TV screen. :D

I HAVE had the oppurtunity to fly a Lepton. I loved it. Even if you can't fly it to it's fullest potential, the Lepton flys better than you!
Your right. It IS a rocket.
What I mean by that, whatever input you put into that heli, the heli looks good doing it.
(To those Evo 50 negative nannies: ALL Hirobo products are excellent. Take a good look at the NEW Sceadu EX. It's pricey, though. A bit like the Lepton :D)

Yeah BZA, unfortunately I could only fly it in normal mode until the next time.
Definitely a beautiful flying machine.

I fly the lepton in our office when I get a chance, I love the way it flies! it really wakes up and comes alive with a longer set of tail blades and and when you crank the headspeed up to 2800. It has insane pop and climb out, and it rolls and flips quick and right on axis, but also is super stable around center and it cruises well at speed. a really good flying heli :D

I love how the soft start winds up slowly then it hits the sweet spot..... Very nice!!! :D
Stable and solid as a rock. I'm sure I'll fly it a second time, I hope. *crosses fingers*
My friend will have it set-up for its max, I'm sure. We flew the stock shorter TR blades and they worked fine. I ripped it around in FFF hard quick turns, giant radius turns, the kind with minimal or no rudder input at all. I did nosedown blade in funnels{about twenty feet diameter} with the tail boom at about an 80 degree angle to the sky. WoW, the lepton makes it easy, or I'm getting better at the sticks. Every input I sent to it, the hirobo lepton performed beautifully. I've said before, and I don't know why, but he likes to watch me fly his helis. I thank him every single time.
That's all. :D
Aaaron, could you possibly post a pic of the lepton in action, if not, no biggie. I'll get some pics my next lepton session. ;)
