I flew my Trex450xl yesterday. I was about 5 minutes into the battery in FFF halfway through a banked turn with no rudder, all aileron and elevator, then all of the sudden the heli started pirouetting and down it went. I was at work while on break. It smackdowned on top of a building. I had to back up my truck with an eight foot ladder to get onto the roof to retrieve my heli. LoL

The TR pulley gear came off the shaft.

The frame finally needs replacement after a few smackdowns.

Bummer cuzz. I just bought a T-Rex 450SA from Century. $169.00 delivered. It's got metal frames and main rotor hub. Might be cheaper than fixing your XL.

Looks like old Rexy is RIP :(
Maybe cb has hit the nail on the head it would be a cheap fix!!

I kinda wish mine would crash and break the frames so I can justify buying the carbon frames for her :rolleyes:

I'll sum up the damage and decide whether to buy a new heli, or repair the old one.
Epoxy and popsicle sticks work well. :D

Hey cuzz, I got a bunch of spare parts(all new) if your interested. Frame,landing gear,complete tail assembly with belt and blades. A few parts for the head. No boom or supports though.
I was going to try and sell them on ebay. Make me an offer I can't refuse. :D
