Go to a local heliport and watch. That's about the same as "flying" a FireScout. It's all flown by click and drag, no sticks.

I had a chance to get up close to one at a UAV convention in Orlando this past summer. It's a neat machine, but I'd rather have an RMax :p .

What powers them?

They are turbine powered; I think it's a MD500 engine or equivalent.
