The battery alone is $600. I guess this won't be in my fleet anytime soon.

Did you see how big that thing was??
I heard rumors of guys using cordless power tool batteries because they are powerful and cheap.. If that option is availabel and/or I figure out what they are doing exactly than I may go for it. If not I am with you, $600 bones is a little steep for me too.

Wattsup have added some extra piccies. http://www.wattsuprc.com.au under "Coming Soon".

That is some heli :D . I am reserving judgement until I see the price as released, but very keen to get one.The main problem with paying the money for batteries is that they only last a certain number of cycles  . If they are $600, you'd want that to be a pretty hefty number.

I have been reading about people using the Milwaukee Cordless tool batteries with awesome results for under $100 each. If I can figure that out I am down for something bigger.

After seeing all the photos and video on the new Trex 600 it looks like they must be close to getting these out and available. Does anyone have any more info or updates?

Exactly, when are they ( Align RC ) going to start making/selling the T-Rex 600 for us consumers? I sure do hope it's not going to be too expensive for us to have one. Hey, anyone got more info on this? To Align RC peepz.. go and do more tests, make sure the new 600 class T-Rex is worth every penny. And thanks for bringing in the T-Rex's to the world of RC Heli.. MORE POWER!!!

I was doing some reading on the helifever.com forums and there is definently alot of talk over the new t-rex. Reading the forums here $600 is a bit much for a batt. but i read (like i mentioned at helifever) that the battery is to be priced around $200 definently much easier on the wallet :D
here is the link on the specs Rex specs (http://www.deeteeenterprises.com/NS.T.Rex.600.Specs.php)

True, the 6S batteries would be around $200 but they are under powered for the 600. A 10S3P would be a much better battery for that model and that's where the price gets higher.

Rc Hover is accepting deposits for the Trex 600. Thinking price of heli is going to be around $430 for the carbon version. Expecting to have their first shipment in the middle of June.

The E-Moli batts are what comes inside of the Milwaukee V28 packs are great batts. You can build them up for right at $100.00 a pack and you can make 4s 5s 6s and 7s packs. Killer flight times and great weight. 3000 mah pack to. The assemble is not bad either. They can be configuired for just about any setup.

I am building up 4 packs for my New Swift. The emoli packs are even better yet as they can go for over 500 cycles and do not have the memory like Nimh and Lipo's.

Cant wait to get mine flying.

I dont think batts are gonna be an issue.

Modefo's heli's is also taking pre orders on this bad boy!

Has anyone heard what the landing skid width is on the new Trex 600? I have seen other dimensions. Anyone know when they will be available?
