Are you asking about telemetry?

more data aquisition, like the BNB products?
http://www.bnbproducts.com/pages/purchase.htm
I've just ordered one anyway, so I'll see how it all fits into the heli. Interested in the current draw and head speed, as my Lipo seems to get wicked hot, but the ESC is having an easy time since I did the heatsink mod.

Hey vapo- G'day :)
It'll be interesting to see what the stats are??
What was the ESC mod- you are talking about? My Align ESC has a heat sink on it.

Align in their cost cutting wisdom, started mounting the heatsink on the outside of the heatshrink, not directly to the transistors  hardly efficient. So I cut the old heatshrink off and using thermal epoxy, I put the heatsink where it should be and then re-heatshrank it.

WOW!! Now that is a cool idea (no pun) LOL :)
I might try that if she gets hot!! temps here are running between 30-40 degree's Celsius, Dam Hot!!!!

Ok Thanks vapo
I understand what you are saying, and it'll probably be the weekend again before I get a chance to fly, so I may as well fix it now
Thank you for the link
Cheers Ralph

NP , better safe than sorry, you have enough fires without putting out one on the heli :D

I have a telementry unit on my raptor 50. it is a eagle tree system and the current draw is very small 35ma at 4.2 volts it displays altitude, airspeed, inside temp engine temp, engine rpm, 4 servo data record, stick position, battery voltage, horizon, servo glitch and you buy a unit for it that measures g force. I am still trying to get the airspeed right on it as it sometimes shows that heli has been going 170kph which i would say would be wrong

I looked at the eagletree but it was a little more than the BNB and more than I needed really, nice unit though

i ended up getting cond into buying it by a model shop when i was buying a governor so only ended up paying $250 nzd. they aint to bad but it is a bit boring seeing the data with no picture to go with it. and the amount of wiring makes the front of the heli look like a birds nest.

G'day vapo
I've been into two electronics shops to get that thermal conductive epoxy and they just look at with blank expressions on their faces  , but after some discussion and a copy of that link you sent, they now say they can get it in for me maybe early next week :( Sheeeeeesh, Oh well its not going to stop me, I will try and fly this weekend, and see what happens I will do the Mod--- next week, cheers thanks for your help again :)

make sure you get a the alumina and not the arctic silver, or your ESC will fly higher than the heli when you plug it in!
