Just wanting to no if anyone has built scale landing skids and whats the best way to go about it? do you end up having to bend and weld alloy or can you use brass? is brass strong enough?

Here is a good post on RunRyder on this subject. They basically suggest the use of stainless steel car brake line. Brass is definitely a no go. It is way too soft. I would think aluminum would also be quite soft unless you can get your hand on very good quality one.

This method seems for now the simplest one, if you have all needed for silver solder.

I would be curious about using Alumilite resing to mold a set. Maybe a future project. This stuff is certainly interesting to make small details.

cheers for that info David that is a much beter way. the reason i was thinking of brass was due to how asy it is to weld when compared to alu, inever even thought about steel brake line. cheers once again
