Your IRCHA Board is pleased to announce the 2007 Jamboree dates as
AUG. 9- 10- 11-12
Sorry to have delayed the posting of the dates, but we needed confirmation before making the dates public.
We are pleased to say that you will continue to see seminars, vendors and a great event as always.
An issue that we have had in the back of my minds for the last year or so as spread spektrum techology has developed was it effect on flight station use. As this techology becomes more widely used, frequency control may become a thing of the past and flight station management may become the issue at hand.
The board is listening to your comments and ideas concerning this issue as I am sure it may have an impact upon the jamboree and other large events. I ask you to consider this senario... A pilot on the 72 mhz band has been waiting for his frequency to become available. As it does he finds the flight stations are repeatably being used by a spread spektrum owner/s that have no frequency concerns, thus prohibiting that pilot from gaining access to a station. We may be going to extremes in this thinking, but we wish to be prepared for any possible problems. This may never occurr and it is our hope it will not.
We are asking for your thoughts and input for methods to circumvent such issues.
