I just finished building my first heli, a T-rex 450X, and was just wondering what simulator I should get to practice flying. I was hoping for one with a T-rex included in it but if not a solid simulator for helis would be fine. Any comments are appreciated! :)

I have the Reflex-XTR SIM and love it. There are free downloads of which there is one for the T-Rex. Once you get the heli download....its just a matter of setting up the parameters to match your heli.
Better yet...the SIM has the ability for you to take photos of your own bird to create a replica of it on the SIM.
Good luck with it.

On Real Flight G3.5, and with one of the expansion packs that contains the MX400, (required)
Someone has created a TREX 450 AND TREX 600 (patch) that both visually, and flight performance wise, matches almost perfectly to the real thing. It is FAST!
The download is available on a RR member's profile. (he is the creator) I would to do some searching for it.

Expansion Pack 1 has the MX400, which is very close to the T-Rex. Although, I found the way the tail holds on the sim is quite disappointing. With some editing, you can make the tail hold better.

GO TO DOWNLOADS AND SELECT THE SIM TYPE.

The creator of the TREX patches is nonpareil_one on RunRyder. I used to fly with him online quite regularly. He is really good at creating skins for heli appearance, and matching performance of real heli's.
He once created for me, a patch that would make a G3.5 Raptor 30V2 download, match exactly the performance of a Raptor 50V2 with a hyper, and 20g GREEN paddles.
What is cool about it, I sent him a picture of my canopy, and he recreated it for the sim.
I found that the 30V2 download flew pretty lousy, but more close to the real thing than the vol.3 pack on RFG3.5
Here is a link to his RR gallery. A few of his TREX downloads are available here. He has more on his private web page, but the page is available to just a few of his flying buddies.
If you find that these downloads are the same as available elsewhere, All credit must go to Michael (nonpareil_one) as he is the creator of the files. Please do not upload these files to another website without crediting Michael, NPO.

Try G3.5 (update to the new beta .044) There is a trex 600 and a micro trex on the swap pages. (Swap pages include hundreds of planes, helis, airports, and color schemes availible for download for free.) Check out the following link for the Real Flight G3 fourms. Click on "Swap pages" on the blue bar to see what you can download. :D http://www.knifeedge.com/forums/index.php?
