I gotta tell ya the mag is looking to have a big future. I spoke with Mike V on the phone yesterday about doing some advertising in the mag. We talked about the mag and what it is about and the target group it is meant for, you and I.
Here is where it gets cool....... Mike is just like you and I. A Rc car guy that got the heli bug because there is finally some kick A$$ heli's that suite us newcomers. After reading through alot of the posts here already I can see alot of the guys are roughly my age with a RC car background as is Mike also. I have been pounding RC cars into my brain for most my life but have kinda gotten burnt out. I finally decided to buy a heli about 3 months ago. A Sabre FP from Hobby People. Within a weeks time I was flying it all over the place wishing I had unlimited battery power.
I have'nt felt like this since I was a kid and I brought home my first trophy from the RC car track. About 2 weeks later I was in the local Raley's supermarket and was looking through the RC mags, cars, and the planes to see the little heli articles and there it was :eek: RC Heli MAG issue #2. It was nicely placed on the shelf sporting good colors, nice shine, and a fresh modern look. It was the last issue. I swiped it up and did not even look inside. I headed for the checker, paid and went to the mini van with the fam waiting. Wife says what did you find. I said "I dont know it could be the best mag ever". I got "THE LOOK" you know the one where she knows this is gonna cost us lot's of money. LOL!!! I thumbed through it and was very thrilled. Younger guys with hot new toys and made by the same folks from Xtreme RC cars and it is sure to have a few lovely ladies inside. I read through the mag later to learn it was right up my alley. Current products, lots of color. It helped spark my Heli interest even farther and I now have 8 heli's in the hanger. Yep I got it bad. I like the technical aspect, the difficulty level of flying, and the fact that every Joe on the street can't do it puts us heli guys in a special group.
This new mag will get even better. Our imput and the fact the the gang from RC Heli mag are folks just like you and I means we get what we want to see in a mag. It looks like things are happening in the RC Heli world and this will be a bonus for us RC guys. Glad there is a hot new mag just for us, we are in for a treat. Even with the NET it is just not the same as a fresh new copy of the mag in your hand. I cant wait for the next issue and to get my advertising rollin. Happy hovering guys!!! and gals!!!!
