Lets Talk?

I was wondering if there would be an interest in the RC Heli Magizine members to talk live to each other on the internet. I think I could set something set up. Not sure, but I'd like to give it a go. Its free and all you would need to do is have a mic and download a site. I think we could have a lot of members talking at one time to one another and have a good time. Maybe even talk to those members in those foriegn countrys. Ya know, Canada, Australia, etc. :D If you have an interst in this and its ok with the guys at RC Heli Magizine I'd like to give it a try. Let me know what you think.

I have been waiting for them to get the "chat" part of this site going -

a couple of things to consider
- you need a fat pipe ( fast connection ) to support video
- time lag ( considering distance of some of us ) in conversation
- time zones ( hey Ralph - ( Blax1 ) )
- chat moderator - to keep the crazies out - the hosting site may bounce you - thier policies?

- can we do this with MSN Live

Most free web hosting will let you have a chat forum, not sure about the vid

I'm up for something interactive - great for trouble-shooting - :)

Yes well its ok with me, it could be quite interesting to see how it goes, I use MSN web cam stuff at home chatting to family and friends etc, I seem to recall Mike V answered some inquiry that Superflyer had about the RC Heli chat, And it went something along the lines of "it was a great idea but you guys (us) might object to us sitting around naked" :eek: Yep I know but that was the end of the conversation Over & Out, LOL :D

Sorry to say that it would be just talking, no video stuff(thank god). Its just a simple passworded site that lets people talk at the same time. If you like you can sit around naked and talk but please don,t tell me when you are :rolleyes:

Anyone interested trying to hook up? Go to http://www.goteamspeak.com/index.php?page=downloads and download TeamSpeak 2 client. Run the program and you should get a new screen. Click on connection then click on the tab (web server list) Server should be listed as RC Helos. IP address at this time should be 68.122.158.250:8767 Click on the server then click on connect. You should get a password box that pops up. Password is rchelimag. If it works you should see my name on the screen. If I see you I will have to register you to have channel rights. Not 100% sure what will happen but I think you will get another screen that you fill in your name with your own password. Please use your screen name that you use for RC Heli Magizine. Password is up to you. Make sure you have a mic and that it is not muted. Hope this works. If your trying to get on and its not working post it on the Heli mag. Hope to see ya

Oh well, here I sit in my shear see thru socks again :eek: , with no one to talk to. Are there no thrill seekers out there? I guess I'll just sit in silence and go practice flying on my sim.

Hey, just give it some time.......... people ae wrapped up in their Christmas shopping and what-not - I know I am busy all the time ( it seems ) - I had a good whack-up today, so it's off to the work bench tonight - and a pile of new spares to unbag ( ho ho ho )..........

I think that it's a good idea - just let it develop at it's own speed if ya can...... I'm sure that it wilil prove useful :)

team speak is ok in game! but why not use msn? I'll start the ball rolling, you want adding to my msn, pm me, I'll give you my details and likewise, eventually we'll build up a decent group of "natterers" lol
