Hello,

I'm a novice with a Raptor 50V2

Last weekend I had a nice warm windless day so I went out and practiced hovering at different altitudes and orientations. I felt I did pretty well putting about 6 tanks through the bird and everything was marvelous.

I had the day off from work today and the wind is really kicking up today (and its much colder). I thought I'd go out and practice hovering in the gusty wind. I was doing quite well for about 5 minutes and then my hands started to "freeze" up. It was the strangest thing my brain would say input fwd control and my thumb would say nope, I'll pull back for you instead.

As my hands got cold I started having real trouble controlling this heli. So, at that point I landed and called it a day.

What do you guys do so keep your hands warm? Special gloves? One of those TX cover handwarmer jobbies? Just wondering what you find works the best.

Also looking suggestions on decent sunglasses. I find mine are OK when the sun is bright but when a cloud covers the sun things are a bit dark.

Thanks in advance.

Yeah, I've seen these. Have you used them? Looking for someone with experience using one who can comment.

I used them for slope soaring mostly, and when it got really cold. it really helps cut the wind and is much better than flying with gloves, or anything else I Ihave tried. (gloves with thumb cut off etc) I am from Portland Oregon, and I have flown airplanes, helis and gliders in freezing temps all over the northwest. hence I am well versed in winter flying, it must have looked funny getting winter flying tips from someone in California
