Just flew 3 flights on my RaptorV1 and had a major tail strike on landing,. No warrning! Post crash revealed a missing ballinlk on main rotor pitch arm. What a waste of good graphite blades

Ouch! Those blades aren't cheap. Hope your back in the air soon. :)

Not half as expensive as the metal upgrades on the fix! Was thinking about upgrading (metal) head/blade grips. Merry Christmas!

Forgot :o ...Welcome to the forum.
Personally,I think some metal upgrades are worth it. A little expensive, but hey, you only live once.
Merry Christmas to you also :)

The cost of repairing a heli is one of the reasons I got away from fixed wing. This RaptorV1 has been crashed a time or two, and everytime I get it back in the air, it's better than the last time, spent less money to do it, and it's a new aircraft. Now if we could only figure out how to crash the pilot, rebuild him/her, and get a better pilot..... I've only been flying helis for on/off 3 years, but they are so much more fun, travel better, and as mentioned, repair better
